Eight back-office workflows on agents: 5,000+ hours back

Back-office agents handle billing, credit notes and receipts inside the logistics network's existing systems. Results are client-reported.

In brief

What problem needed solving?

A national network running on manual back-office work. Finance teams keyed invoices and reconciled payments, operations chased exceptions, and proof-of-delivery, manifests and freight documents were read and re-entered by hand across the network. More freight meant more people, not more leverage.

What did the team build?

Agentic automation across the network's highest-volume processes, on top of existing systems and inside the client's environment. We observed how work actually flowed, then automated the repetitive steps end to end across eight billing, credit-note and receipt workflows. No rip-and-replace.

What changed?

5,000+ hours saved across the eight workflows, about 28 person-months, with 2,600+ runs in four to five months. Across the wider programme, 300 roles were freed in year one and 750+ over three years, redeployed to higher-value work. The engagement is multi-year and its scope expands quarter over quarter.

For example:

  • a document your team retypes
  • a queue that grows with volume
  • data that can't leave the building
